Our Mission and Vision
Restoring Dignity. One Smile at a Time.
“No Canadian should suffer in silence because they can’t afford dental care.”
NDCD exists to:
Unite dental professionals in an annual act of compassion
Remove barriers to dental care- no income forms, no insurance requirements
Promote oral health as a human right, not a privilege
Celebrate dignity, service, and national unity - one smile at a time.
We envision a Canada where no community is left behind, and every October 10 becomes a day of restored smiles, dignity and hope.
About National Dental Care Day
How It Started
In 2012, a small dental clinic in Brampton quietly opened its doors to anyone in need—no questions asked.
What began as one chair serving one patient grew into a national day of compassion, restoring smiles and dignity.
Why It Matters
Dental care is a basic right, yet,1 in 3 Canadians avoid it due to cost. NDCD unites dental professionals every October 10 to give back with compassion.
It s more than a dental day: it is a Canadian tradition of restoring dignity, one smile at a time.
How It Works
One day of service - not for profit but for people
Participation is voluntary
Every clinic commits to compassion, no conditions attached

One Chair Can Change a Life.
October 10: When Compassion Becomes a Movement.
National Dental Care Day (NDCD) invites dental offices across Canada to open their doors for one free day of care on October 10, 2025.
Participating clinics offer one of the following services to underserved patients:

It’s your chance to give back—one chair at a time.
