Our Mission and Vision
Restoring Dignity. One Smile at a Time.
“No Canadian should suffer in silence because they can’t afford dental care.”
Our mission is to:
Connect skilled dental professionals with those in need
Promote oral health as a human right
Celebrate service over self — one chair, one day, one nation
We envision a Canada where:
Every clinic offers at least one day of care rooted in compassion
Communities feel seen, served, and supported
And smiles become a symbol of unity and humanity
About National Dental Care Day
A Movement for Better Oral Health How It Started
In 2012, a small dental clinic in Brampton quietly opened its doors to anyone in need—no questions asked.
That single act of compassion sparked a ripple. What began as one chair serving one patient grew into a national call for dignity through dentistry.
Why It Matters
Today, 1 in 3 Canadians avoid the dentist due to cost. But oral health isn’t a luxury—it’s a basic human right.
National Dental Care Day (NDCD) is more than a one-day event. It’s a movement grounded in service, humanity, and equity.
By uniting dental professionals across the country, NDCD becomes a symbol of hope and healing—restoring dignity, one smile at a time.
How It Works
On October 10, dental professionals across Canada choose to offer one day of care—not for profit, but for people.
Participation is completely voluntary.
Every clinic listed on this site has made a personal commitment to step forward in service.
There is no obligation—only a shared belief in giving back.
We honour each participating clinic and celebrate those who serve in other ways.
NDCD simply connects skilled professionals with underserved communities—ensuring more Canadians receive the essential care they deserve.
